CIT oversees diverse retirement and mutual fund programs, fostering domestic and foreign investor participation to promote savings, expand funds, and enhance investment opportunities. Currently, it introduces voluntary retirement and mandatory insurance fund programs, such as Pension and Gratuity funds, using fully funded individual accounts.

Additionally, it promotes long-term savings through initiatives like the Employee Savings Growth Retirement Fund (ESGRF) for various institutions, including Civil Service, Teachers, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and others. 

Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company

Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company (HIDCL) is one of the investment company in Nepal that primarily invests in hydropower projects. HIDCL started its operations from 11 July 2011 at the Kathmandu District Development Committee premises at Babbarmahal. Established as a public investment company, 80% equity belongs to Government of Nepal and three state owned companies whereas 20% to general public.

The broader objective of the company is be to mobilize funds for investment in generating, transmitting and distributing hydroelectricity to free the country from the chronic power shortage. The company’s main goal is to operate professionally ensuring profitable utilization of resources and invest exclusively in hydropower projects.

CEDB Hydropower Development Company

CEDB Hydropower Development Company (CHDC) is the investment company based in Nepal that focuses on investing in hydropower projects. The company was founded by the Clean Energy Development Bank to provide equity investment for hydropower projects to meet energy needs of the nation.

The company has been operating 3 hydropower projects in Nepal which has a combined electricity generation capacity of 8.583 MW along with investment various other hydropower projects which has a combined capacity of 103 MW. CHDC has 8,394,100 unit shares listed in Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

Emerging Nepal Limited

Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) is a public-private Equity platform dedicated to creating investment opportunities for all. They aim to enable private and public sector to work together in accelerating investments in the area of national priorities with sound business principles.
